Job description
Speakap is a fast-growing employee experience platform for frontline employees, supporting thousands of users every day. As we scale rapidly, we require a rock-solid, reliable, and secure infrastructure to keep everything running smoothly. That’s where site reliability comes in. It forms the foundation that enables all other teams and services to build, run, and scale with confidence.
Your role
In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our platform secure, stable and high-performing.
You’ll be joining a small, lean team dedicated to security, automation, uptime, and optimizing the performance of our cloud-based infrastructure built on Linux and AWS-managed services. As a valued team member, you’ll have the opportunity to design, share, and implement your ideas and solutions, helping shape how we scale and evolve our infrastructure.
What you’ll do
Monitor, maintain, and continuously improve existing infrastructure
Proactively identify and address security risks, helping to keep our platform safe and compliant
Collaborate with and support other teams by answering questions, resolving infrastructure-related issues, and enabling smooth development workflows.
Design and build new infrastructure components to support growing product and engineering needs, with a focus on automation and best practices.
About you
You bring 6+ years of hands-on experience managing and scaling cloud infrastructure, with a proven track record of building secure, resilient systems. You likely hold a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, and have continued to grow through real-world challenges, continuous learning, and collaboration.
Pragmatic & precise – You strike the right balance between speed and stability. You know when to move fast to unblock teams and when to slow down to build long-term reliability and technical excellence.
Clear communicator & trusted collaborator – You thrive in cross-functional environments, working closely with developers, product managers, and security teams to solve problems and deliver solutions.

Technical Skill Set
Networking & Security: Deep understanding of networking protocols (OSI model), firewalls, intrusion detection, and overall cloud security best practices
Load balancing: Skilled in deploying, configuring, and optimizing load balancing solutions to enhance the performance and scalability of web applications
Cloud & Systems: Strong experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, VPC, EKS, Elasticache, CloudWatch) and Linux/UNIX environments at scale. Strong Linux/UNIX background, with experience operating systems at medium to large scale
Infrastructure & Automation: Proficient with infrastructure-as-code and configuration tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Puppet; strong scripting and automation mindset
Monitoring & Performance: Skilled in monitoring production systems, diagnosing performance issues, and tuning web apps and databases for reliability and scale
Data & Containers: Experience with containerization (Docker), managing replicated datasets, and ensuring database availability, integrity, and performance
