We are now looking for a highly-motivated student to join us as an HR Intern based out of the Netherlands. If you are a team player with a proactive attitude and a detail-oriented spirit, we’re looking for you! 

Your Duties & Responsibilities

As an HR intern, your main goal is to assist and learn from our HR team. You'll discover how to make employees' experiences great by starting various projects about culture, growth, finding new people, how well things work, and company activities. You'll be busy with different projects, sometimes on your own and sometimes with others. Here are some things you'll do:

  • Learning HR Basics: You'll get to know how HR works under the law in the Netherlands. This means making contracts, offers for jobs, adding extra things to contracts, and more. You'll also keep important records of employees and make sure their information is safe and private.
  • Being Part of the Fun Team: You'll be part of the Culture Crew. This group of coworkers plans events for the company where we celebrate our different cultures. You'll help make these events happen and enjoy them with the rest of the Culture Crew.
  • Helping Find New People: You'll help find new people for jobs by putting up job ads, looking through resumes, and arranging interviews.
  • Online Fun for Our Company: You'll make posts on social media (like LinkedIn and Instagram) to show how great our company is to work for.
  • Boosting Our Team's Success: You'll work with the team to make our work even better and come up with ways to make things improve.
  • Using Numbers to Help: You'll keep updating special charts with HR info. This helps us understand things better and make good choices.
  • Sharing News: You'll work with the HR team to write about what's happening inside the company and share it with everyone.
  • Helping the Next Intern: You'll be in charge of finding and getting the next HR intern ready to join our team.
  • Working Together on Special Stuff: You'll join forces with the HR team on cool projects and new ideas.
  • Supporting Everyone: You'll make sure everyone at Speakap is excited about their work and has new challenges to keep them interested.
  • Welcoming New People: You'll think of ways to make it super easy for new people who join us to feel like they belong and understand how things work.

Who you’ll be working with

You will be part of the Human Resources team and you will work closely with our Head of HR, our Recruitment & HR Officer and our HR & Office Coordinator. The HR team works together with the managers, team leaders, and all the employees to make sure everyone is happy and things run smoothly at Speakap.

Job requirements

What do we expect from you?
You would be a great fit for this job if:

  • You are currently a student at HBO or WO level. It's even better if you're studying something related to Human Resources or Organisational Psychology;

  • You have worked in a similar job before, especially in HR;

  • You live in the Netherlands; speak and write English fluently (Dutch is a plus, but not required);

  • You are good at staying organized and like to explore new things. You also pay attention to small details and like to get things done;

  • You know your way around Word, Excel, and Powerpoint;

  • You understand how to tell people what you think and listen to their thoughts too.

  • You're honest and can adapt to new situations easily.

  • You can work with us for at least 4 days each week for at least 6 months.

  • You can come to our office twice a week, including on Mondays. You can pick your second day.
