Your Challenge

As CFO, you'll play a key role in driving Speakap's growth by shaping and guiding our financial and growth strategy. Your mission will be to develop financial plans that not only support our current growth but also lay the foundation for future expansion. You'll be the go-to person for ensuring our financial infrastructure is ready to scale efficiently and sustainably.

Working closely with our CEO, Patrick van der Mijl, you'll offer strategic financial insights to help guide major decisions and identify the best opportunities for growth. By diving deep into (financial) data and market trends, you'll provide the analysis and advice needed to keep us moving forward.

You'll also collaborate closely with other teams, ensuring financial strategies are integrated throughout the organization. Beyond the numbers, you'll mentor the finance team, helping them think strategically and align with broader company goals. Plus, you’ll maintain strong relationships with external partners, including investors and banks, and lead efforts to manage risks as we continue to grow.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic and financial roadmap to support Speakap's long-term, sustainable growth on an international scale.

• Work closely with teams to streamline and optimize financial processes and systems, driving greater efficiency across the organization.

• Take full ownership of ensuring accurate financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to guide key business decisions.

• Lead financial efforts in mergers, acquisitions, and international expansion, ensuring alignment with overall growth strategies.

• Mentor and inspire the finance team, fostering a culture of financial excellence and strategic thinking across the company.

You excel at identifying opportunities for growth and scaling operations, using data and insights to shape long-term strategies that align with Speakap’s vision.

Collaboration and communication are key strengths of yours – you prioritize listening and building relationships, while always focusing on achieving the best outcomes for both the team and the organization. You challenge ideas constructively, ensuring a positive, solution-oriented environment that fosters innovation and improvement.

You meet the following criteria:

• Degree in Finance, Econometrics, Accounting, or a related field.

• At least 10 years of experience in finance, strategy consulting, M&A, or a similar field.

• Proven track record of scaling SaaS businesses and driving international growth.

• A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, able to lead change and implement impactful financial and growth strategies.

• Fluent in both written and spoken English, with proficiency in Dutch at a B1 level or higher, including the ability to read, interpret, and understand formal financial and administrative documents such as financial accounts, annual financial reports, governmental letters, and other financial statements.
