What you'll do

As an HR intern, your mission is to help and learn from the HR team how to create the best employee experience  by initiating different projects related to culture, growth, recruitment, performance and operations. You will work on various projects, both independently and collaboratively. Some of your responsibilities include:

  • Working together with the team to improve our current performance cycle;

  • Organizing events to celebrate our diverse culture together with the Culture Crew;

  • Becoming familiar with and executing administrative aspects of HR in accordance with Dutch employment law, creating contracts, offers, addendums, and more;

  • Continuously updating our HR data dashboards and improving our use of data to create actionable insights;

  • Creating content in social media(LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) in order to boost our Employer Brand;

  • Recruiting and Onboarding the next HR intern;


Who you’ll be working with

You will be part of the Human Resources team and you will work closely with our Head of Talent Management, our Head of People Operations, our Recruitment and HR Officer and our Office Manager. The HR team drives the people agenda of Speakap in partnership with the management team, team leads, and employees.

Job requirements

What you bring to the table

You would be the perfect fit for this role if you:

  • are currently a HBO or WO student, ideally studying in a relevant field such as Human Resources or Organisational Psychology;

  • have relevant working experience, preferably in HR;

  • live in the Netherlands; speak and write English fluently (Dutch is a plus, but not required);

  • know your way around Word, Excel, and Powerpoint;

  • are organised, naturally curious, results-oriented, and love to take the initiative;

  • understand how to both give and receive feedback effectively;

  • you have integrity and adapt easily to new situations;

  • are available for at least 4 days a week for a period of 6 months;

  • are available to join us in the office twice a week, including Monday 


What we're offering you

  • An internship compensation of 500,- euros per month based on 40 hours per week; or 400,- euros per month based on 32 hours per week;

  • A travel allowance if you live more than 10 km from the office and you are coming to the office;

  • A workplace where the average satisfaction rate for the relationship with managers & relationship with colleagues is 8.5;

  • Lot's of freedom and flexibility with the option to work from home. As a team we are in the office on Mondays and every team member chooses a second day of the week to be at the office;

  • Online and in person events (which you can help organize);

  • An international environment with colleagues from all over the world;

  • A personal MacBook;

  • Depending when you start, there will be an overlap with the current interns to ease you into the role and show you the ropes so-to-say.

Start date: Flexible, preferably November 1st 2022
